It had 65 participants from the 4 interest groups and several government units.  Councilor Omar Andaya, welcomed the participants and the proponents of the MicroComm project in a short opening program.  Representatives from the German Development Cooperation (GIZ, an International Development Agency), Pru Life UK (a life insurance company) and CommLinked (an IT service related company) conducted the training sessions touching on the importance and benefits of MicroInsurance and how the use of the website (www.empoweringfilipinos.com) will benefit members of the online communities.The one and half day seminar gave a glimpse of how the project was able broaden the knowledge of the attendees, not only on MicroInsurance, but as well as the on-going activities being conducted by the government agencies and the 4 community sectors. 

Senior Citizens were made aware that the Public Library has an on-going Digital Literacy program which they can avail of.  The Department of Education participants revealed that they have a Financial Literacy program that can complement the learnings from the MicroComm Project.
